Glenn Brown

Senior Pastor
Glenn and Carol Brown have been members of Turning Point Church since 1995. Since that time, Glenn has served in a variety of roles, including home group leader, Sunday School teacher, elder, and associate pastor. He began serving as senior pastor in November 2022. Carol currently serves as the Women's Ministry Leader. Glenn and Carol are both committed to helping others know Jesus and have a closer relationship with Him. Glenn's personal vision statement is to follow the example of Barnabas in Acts 11:23,24 (NLT): "[Barnabas] was filled with joy, and he encouraged the believers to stay true to the Lord. Barnabas was a good man, full of the Holy Spirit and strong in faith. And many people were brought to the Lord." Glenn and Carol live in League City; they have four children and ten grandchildren.

Jerry Hatfield

Associate Pastor, Pastor Emeritus
Pastor Jerry Hatfield and his wife Bonnie are the founding pastors of Turning Point Church of League City. They began this work in 1992 by first meeting in their home, where Pastor Jerry taught the Word and Bonnie led the worship. Pastor Jerry received his Doctorate Degree in Theology and Biblical Studies in 2008 from Grace Bible College and Seminary. In November 2022, after 31 years of full-time ministry, Pastor Jerry stepped back as senior pastor and now serves as Associate Pastor and Pastor Emeritus under Senior Pastor Glenn Brown. Jerry and Bonnie live in League City and have three children, seven grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.

Joe Schumann

Elder
Joe Schumann and his wife Carol have attended Turning Point Church since 1998. They have served and brought glory to God in a variety of roles, including youth ministry. Joe previously served as a deacon, and he currently serves as the church elder and as leader of the Turning Point Church Benevolent Team. Joe and Carol provide continual emotional and spiritual support to other members, and they faithfully use the gifts God has given them to encourage and build up the church body.

Curt Kurshildgen

Deacon
Born in Michigan and raised in San Antonio, Texas (Go Wolverines and Spurs!), Curt Kurshildgen moved to League City in 1997 and began attending Turning Point Church in 2018. He was appointed as Deacon in 2022 and serves on the Benevolent Team and Advisory Council. Curt has the gift of service, writing, and organizational skills. Working for our Lord is a blessing that he wholeheartedly accepts. Except for six years as a Police Officer for the City of San Antonio, Curt has been in the aviation field since 1973. His degree is in Journalism Radio TV and Film. He is certified as an FAA aircraft accident investigator, helicopter pilot, and flight planning services for business aviation.

Lee Risinger

Deacon
Deacon Lee Risinger and his wife, Joy, have attended Turning Point Church since 1997. Joy is the daughter of former pastor Jerry Hatfield and has served in the church since its creation. Lee and Joy both have the spiritual gift of service and have served the church faithfully for many years. Lee is the resident Information Technology (IT) support and also serves on the Turning Point Church Advisory Council. Joy is the Facilities/Assets Director, overseeing upkeep of the church facility. Lee and Joy also work as a team operating the audio system during church services, and have done so faithfully for many years.
